The Six ‘I’s® is a comprehensive, integrated methodology that combines design thinking with organisational and team development.
Owned by The Entheo Network, and created by innovation specialist Natalie Turner, The Six ‘I’s® offers a human-centred approach to innovation, blending design thinking with organisational development, and a unique proprietary innovation strengths profile for individuals and teams. Its purpose is to give individuals and organisations a consistent framework for measuring innovation skills and capabilities, and an actionable process for developing an innovative and productive working culture.
Statistically reliable, The Six ‘I’s® Profiling Tools were developed in partnership with industry experts and leading thinkers from the areas of innovation and organisational development and have been used in a variety of organisations across the world including the Singapore Government, Cisco Systems, LEO Pharma Asia, GSK and Danone.
Highly flexible in design, The Six ‘I’s® in ACTION, can be modularised into half-day Modules, or, if face to face, facilitated as a 1.5 - 2 day Programme.
Programme design is flexible. If working with an intact team, it can be run either virtually over a number of sessions, or face to face over a couple of days.
A 4-hour training session that will explore the differences between innovation and creativity and what it means to be innovative in the workplace. To introduce the Six ‘I’s® Model and Profiles so that participants have a journey map for how to innovate and can understand their strengths and challenges.
A 4-hour training session to apply The Six ‘I’s® on a pre-set innovation challenge. Throughout the Innovation Challenge, participants will learn a variety of innovation tools such as “How to write an Insight” (IDENTIFY), “Brainstorming Tools” (IGNITE), “How to develop a Value Proposition” (INVESTIGATE). At the end of the session, each participant will be encouraged to think of a work-related Innovation Challenge where they can apply their learning in Module Three.
A 4-hour training and coaching session where participants will apply the same tools from Module Two, on their own Innovation Challenge at work. They will also learn new tools such as, “How to write a Pitch,” (INVEST) and “Action Planning” (IMPLEMENT). They will also be encouraged to spend time reflecting on how they can IMPROVE their mind and skill sets to develop their own professional development action plan.
For in-house teams, an additional Module can include The Six 'I's® Team Report. Please see Insights to Action for more information.
For sessions with in-house, intact teams, innovation challenges and areas of focus for Module Three can be discussed and agreed in advance.
Each person will be sent a link to complete The Six 'I's® online profile, receive a copy of Yes, You Can Innovate and be invited to watch Six Keys to Unlock the Innovative Potential of a Team Pre-Recorded Masterclass

Review of Programme,
learnings and next steps
Organisations who want to bring in more than four business challenges or organisations who want to embed innovation into their culture are advised to contact us for a custom designed Programme.
“I have learnt how to change my mindset when improving work processes. The Six ‘I’s® in ACTION Programme taught me how to apply lateral thinking tools to generate ideas and problem solve.”
“On this programme I have learnt about the 6 ‘I’s and the mindset that relates to each. I also learnt not to be too engrossed in coming with ideas blindly, and to always look back and relate it to purpose.”
“One action I will make because of this programme is to use what I have learnt as a guide during future brainstorming sessions with colleagues, to make the sessions more focused and fruitful.”
“On this programme I have learnt that we must work as team, identify own weakness and tap on other people’s strengths. Also, to respect other people’s point of view and understand them.”
The Six ‘I’s® incorporates a proprietary Innovation strengths profiling tool that enables individuals and teams to understand their innovation-related strengths and areas of development; so they can play to their strengths and improve their ability to innovate at work.
Individual strengths (darker bars) and Importance Levels (lighter coloured bars)
The results show a gap analysis between current and desired skill levels. This enables an individual to know where they will need support in helping an idea move into action
Enables individuals to be aware of their strengths and areas of development. This allows individuals to know how they can contribute their strengths and get support when needed. For example, an individual that is strong on IMPLEMENT might never have considered themselves as an innovator. However, without focus and skills around implementation, ideas remain just ‘good ideas’.
A leader’s innovation profile will influence the way innovation projects are supported in the organisation. Awareness of this will help the leader to understand their own style so that they can support all stages of the innovation journey. For example, if a leader is high on IDENTIFY or IGNITE, they may focus on these areas, to the detriment of others, such as the ability to IMPLEMENT new ideas.
Each participant will complete a short online questionnaire prior to the training programme. The questionnaire takes approximately 10 minutes. On completion, they will receive a Standard Report of their innovation strengths across each of The Six ‘I’s® of Innovation. They will actively use these results in the training programme to play to their strengths and develop an innovation skills development plan.
Participants will also receive an eBook copy of Yes, You Can Innovate. The book is packed full of practical ideas, tips, and tools on how to build innovation skills and mindsets. Participants will refer to it through the Programme as well as use it as a reference guide to help them embed learning, continue to build their innovation strengths, and improve their ability to create value out of new ideas.
